Hi Sivaram... that was a major exercise for me.. and I am glad that it ended well... as a friend said, "This is what happens if you do not marry, you end up looking after the kids of others"  ... Thanks for the visit, the comment and the appreciation... Dev

I  realised how difficult it is to keep  the dogs .You had taken care of the 7 pubs like our children and found homes for them .Very interesting to read and to note  how much you cared for them. The photos with the families who took these pubs are excellent.

Great job well executed .How many of us would have been patient like you!

Thanks

Sivaram

Hi Sampath... Thanks for the visit, the comment and the appreciation... It was a tough period of seven weeks and I am glad it ended happily...  And yes it was difficult to part with them when the time came... Esp the one named Chutki, I had half a mind to keep her but since we have her mother there was no question of a second dog now..
regards
Dev

Hi Kalyanee.. thanks for your visit and very relevant comment. I also felt the same about handing over pups to total strangers. In this case two out of the seven went to families I am in touch with on a regular basis. And I was convinced that the remaining five went to good homes. But one must ensure that people dont maltreat the pups they are getting for free.... regards... Dev

Dev,
Great fotos....and great efforts on ur part to find good homes for the pups.
Often times I have seen ppl take away pups for 'free' and then not treat the dog rightly, just becos it was a free gift....Disgusting thoughts I agree, but dats a fact and I know some incidents like that.
One rightly needs to do some pre-screening and interviewing b4 giving away small babe pups to strangers.

Hi Nargis... thanks for the visit and the comment... As someone who has been in touch with Choti since she was adopted I value your comments on her puppies...

Thanks for asking me how Choti is taking the absence of the pups.  Inspite of this being a rather long post ("I wrote a long letter because I did not have the time to write a short one" - Mark Twain) I had missed out on writing about Choti's condition in the post separation period. I have now amended the blog post and  added a para.
Choti is now fine. Her milk has dried up. And she does not keep looking for her pups anymore.

I loved sharing this experience with fellow bloggers. As a matter of fact the contact with   bloggers gave me the strength to go ahead in this tiring period.

And yes Chutki and Mutki are such nice names. They were such loving pups I wanted names which generated love.
